Chairman's speech
Under the generous directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - and the close follow-up of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - the Kingdom's Vision 2030 was launched along with the National Transformation Program 2020, marking the beginning of a new phase in the Kingdom's journey toward the future.
Our wise government is keen to focus on the social development of all citizens in this generous country, in line with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations, which emphasize empowering persons with disabilities to achieve their maximum degree of independence and social integration. Embodying the spirit of constructive cooperation and social responsibility between the private and public sectors, the idea of establishing the Center of Excellence for Autism in the Kingdom came to create a qualitative shift in providing high-level rehabilitation services for children and adults with autism, training families, raising community awareness about this disorder, offering professional development programs for practitioners, conducting and supporting applied research, in addition to providing vocational rehabilitation services and housing solutions for people with autism spectrum disorder.
In continuation of this approach, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development signed an agreement with the Saudi Central Bank to establish this center, with generous support from all Saudi banks in the Kingdom. This center will serve as an independent legal entity dedicated to the care and development of people with autism spectrum disorder in the Kingdom, enhancing the level of services it provides, making it a source of pride for the Kingdom and the world. Today, we are proud of the Center of Excellence for Autism, its achievements, and our qualified national cadres. We look forward with confidence to a brighter future, built by our own hands and reaped by future generations.
