In general, the idea of ​​establishing the Center of Excellence for Autism in the Kingdom came to bring about a qualitative shift in providing high-level rehabilitation services for children and adults with autism disorder, training families and raising the level of community awareness about this disorder, providing professional development programs for practitioners, conducting and supporting applied research, in addition to providing services. Vocational rehabilitation and residential solutions for people with autism spectrum disorder.
To complement this trend, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development signed an agreement with the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia to establish this center, with generous support from all Saudi banks in the Kingdom, to serve as an independent legal body concerned with the attention and development of people with autism spectrum disorder in the Kingdom and to raise the level of services it provides to be an edifice to be proud of.
