Our wise government is keen to pay attention to the social development of all citizens in this generous country, in line with the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations, which emphasizes empowering people with disabilities to reach the maximum degree of their independence and societal integration, and as an embodiment of the spirit of constructive cooperation and social responsibility between the private sectors. In general, the idea of establishing the Center of Excellence for Autism in the Kingdom came to bring about a qualitative shift in providing high-level rehabilitation services for children and adults with autism disorder, training families and raising the level of community awareness about this disorder, providing professional development programs for practitioners, conducting and supporting applied research, in addition to providing services. Vocational rehabilitation and residential solutions for people with autism spectrum disorder.
To complement this trend, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development signed an agreement with the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia to establish this center, with generous support from all Saudi banks in the Kingdom, to serve as an independent legal body concerned with the attention and development of people with autism spectrum disorder in the Kingdom and to raise the level of services it provides to be an edifice to be proud of. Today, we are proud of the Autism Center of Excellence for our achievements and our qualified national cadres, and we look forward with confidence to a brighter future built by our own hands and whose fruits will be reaped by tomorrow’s generations.
