The Shadow Teacher Program
The Shadow Teacher Program provides individualized, in-school support for students by a qualified special education specialist, under the supervision of a certified behavior analyst.
Program Goals:
The program is designed to enhance students’ self-confidence and support their successful integration into the school environment. The shadow teacher facilitates positive engagement in the classroom by:
- Assisting the student in maintaining focus and understanding key concepts.
- Strengthening the student’s academic abilities.
- Cultivating essential social skills for peer interaction.
- Addressing behavioral challenges that may hinder academic progress.
An individualized support plan is created for each student based on their unique needs, fostering success in a nurturing and adaptive environment. The student’s progress is regularly assessed through detailed reports, which are used to update and refine the plan as needed.
